The Bishop of Oswestry is Bishop Paul Thomas. His episcopal consecration took place on 2 February 2023 at Canterbury Cathedral. Bishop Paul is a Suffragan Bishop in the Diocese of Lichfield who also cares for parishes in The West Midlands, West Country and South West who are members of the Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda.
